Hello brothers and sisters, my name is Jeremy Sanford and I would like to be open and transparent with you today. I was a slave to sin for 38 years of my life. I even did 2 1/2 years in prison on a 5 year sentence. I have since surrendered completely with all my heart and soul to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am a living testimony of what God can do to a man fully surrendered to Him. I now strive to follow in His footsteps, commandments, and servitude. I want to speak to you today with complete integrity and honesty about what God has shown me and put in my heart. The Lord has given us a grand vision and mission for the church today. We want to "Call You Out". Our vision at Called Out Christian is to call the whole body of Christ out. The Word says there is one body with many members. We are calling all members of the body large and small to come together with one voice to be the hands and feet of Jesus. To go, reach out, and save the world. Isn't this our purpose to glorify God with obedience following His command with the great commission? Aren't we going to be judged by our works? {Matthew 25:31-44} Jesus says we are to feed the hungry and give the thirsty a drink. We are to house the homeless, cloth the naked, visit the sick and the prisoners. Aren't we told to help the widows and the orphans and save the lost? I tell you we can be inspired by the fact that great things happen when the church steps up. When the church finally understands our role and surrenders ourselves to Gods plan, our lives completely change. Our priorities and vision become clear and our lives take on a bold new purpose. We at Called Out Christian want to start a movement of men and women who desire to lock shields with other strong men and women of all denominations, color, race, and creed that follow the Words of Christ. We are challenging Christians to commit to this great adventure! To rise up and courageously pour your heart into His people as one body, one voice, and one accord to save the world.
Testimony
I was raised in a Christian Baptist home with 6 siblings and a single parent mother. Naturally, I became the man of the house. Between 5 sisters and a mother I learned quickly how to use my mouth as a weapon. I learned how to speak venom in my words, and I knew all the right answers when asked, especially about my faith and salvation. I thought I knew everything. I knew Jesus and he was my salvation, however I lived with the enemy. I was a liar, cheater, thief, dope addict, drug dealer, and womanizer. I destroyed a lot of lives, including my own. I abandoned my family. I have been shot, stabbed, beaten, divorced, forsaken, and in prison...yet through it all I claimed salvation but was more lost and broken than most. As I reflect now, I realize I was never faithful to anything, including my ex-wife, school, work, my family, and surely not God. Maybe all along, God was protecting me and calling me, but not until I was sitting in prison on an 8-year sentence, did I listen and respond. I started to listen to God's soft words as he spoke to me. He spoke through different ministers, men, through the scriptures, and even through visions. And in this new and sober mind, he began to renew me. I continued to feed this hunger by reading and studying the word of God and in turn I began to grow, and my faith has increased. Instead of challenging or trying to replace ''words'' in the scripture, I took them literally and investigated them all the way to the Hebrew and Greek texts. Jesus Christ has become a light in me like a fire burning bright. Today, I am a new creation. Indeed, all things are new. He has changed me in a way I cannot put into words. All I can do is allow all who cross my path to witness the change that is in me. God's plan has always been a chosen people; a particular people called out of darkness. In the Old Testament it was Israel, today it is the church which is derived from a Greek work meaning ''Called out''. I step into God's plan and accept my calling with called out Christians for the body of Christ. All praise and honor and glory to our father in Heaven, in Jesus' name, Amen.
